Inclement Weather Procedures

Should the University experience inclement weather, the Provost will decide to delay or close the University, based on the latest weather information and physical conditions–generally–on the morning of closure.

This information will be sent to the campus by 6:30 a.m. via TCU ALERT, posted on the TCU home page (under the Top News Stories heading) and recorded on TCU’s information line (817-257-INFO or 4636).

Additionally, the information also will be sent to local television and radio stations. Among the local DFW television stations to be notified will be WFAA (ABC) Channel 8, NBC Channel 5, CBS Channel 11, and FOX Channel 4.

Local radio stations that will be notified include WBAP 820 AM and KLUV 98.7 FM. The TCU homepage can be located at http://www.tcu.edu.

In the event of a University closing due to inclement weather, the Office of Extended Education will issue a refund for the participant’s paid AP workshop registration fee, or a portion thereof.
